A few years ago I saw my first bathtub and shower surround tiled in with a “crazy quilt” of all different tiles, and it was love at first site. If you love color and pattern, heck, going crazy quilt means can have it all. Designer Amy Mescia — with her new company Oscar & Izzy – now [...]

Many thanks to Whitney, who just tipped me that Wilsonart has introduced 11 new colors of boomerang laminate. There now are a total of 14 colorways — the most of any manufacturer. I am quite liking the “butterscotch” above — looks like you could use this in a kitchen with yellow kitchen cabinets. There is [...]

A reader wrote to ask how to bring the luster back to her vintage laminate countertops. Paste wax, maybe? To get the answer, I turned to expert Grace Jeffers. The chrome pull with the black lines sets my heart all aflutter & was what I was referring to within my earlier comment. The nice thing about purchasing thru Rejuvenation is the metal choice versus purchasing the vintage pulls which would permit chrome (& not brushed nickel which would look better with the stainless steel appliances). Her seller name is okatiedid and her store is vintage trailer parts
Not all of her stuff is for trailers and it’s definitely worth a look through if you have certain art deco era needs.
