More 50s style countertop laminate for your retro kitchen — from Wilsonart

wilsonart-retro-mint.jpgI went looking last night for that old-fashioned salt-and-pepper countertop laminate. I couldn’t find it online (although I know it can be had; stay tuned).

Instead, I discovered that Wilsonart now makes four colors of retro style countertop materials for your 50s kitchen or bathroom. More Googies for us Googies. These are part of their Indie collection.

Be sure to look at my other posts on Formica brand boomerang laminates, and a more mellow reproduction of a 50s European design. In fact, be sure to look at all the countertop posts, I think I’ve found great solutions for a lot of our crucial issues!

Wouldn’t some of these look just awesome edged with stainless steel trim… combined with either white or period-color wood or steel cabinets… and trimmed out with the Atomic Doodle wallpaper from Bradbury & Bradbury?

I had massive problems posting photos yesterday — to those of you on Internet Explorer, my apologies. This blog is best viewed on Mozilla/Firefox. It’s free and easy — I highly recommend it!

Meanwhile, to address the issue, I’m posting less complex photo layouts. Hence — the somewhat useless thumbnails below. However, you may click directly on them to see a larger image; then hit the back button to return to the main post. Thanks!
