Hi Pam -

I watched the video about your kitchen renovation and have a few questions about the stainless steel sheet that you installed next to your stove. Is the stainless steel flush with the formica? If so, how do you prevent food and dirt getting in between the seams? What gauge is the stainless steel?

The kitchen in my 1910 four-square was completely remodeled in the 1950's and is in excellent shape. I have a beautiful, double-drainboard sink and wood (14" deep) top cabinetry. I would like to install the Coral Boomerang formica that I snagged last year but am concerned about hot pots etc hence my thought about stainless. The picture of your kitchen is precisely what I have in mind.

Any assistance that you can provide will be much appreciated! BTW, I love your website!
