Okay, it’s past this blog’s official time period of 1945-1965, but this 1978 pole lamp is close enough in style and impact. And – it’s mint in box, never opened, never used. Cool – as many of these old pole lamps are very rusty.
I emailed the lister, who confirmed that there are additional pole pieces to make this fit a ceiling a bit under 8-1/2 feet. Great for a living room or basement.
Starting price is steep. Even if you don’t want to go for it – a fun item to watch – and something you can be on the lookout for at your local estate sales, as a strategically positioned vintage pole lamp can really help make a room. Don’t overdo it, though – one per house is likely enough.

Is it a room divider? Is it a pole lamp? Is it a display shelf? Yes!
