More wallpaper! Another site that Femme1 found, rosiesvintagewallpaper.com. Also very expensive — but so terrific. Truly – these graphics are the epitome of warm and wonderful 50s design. Today we surround ourself with a few more small novelty prints, some bathroom, and even more kitchen motifs. Including my favorite: COFFEE! Thanks, Femme1!

Kitchens – Countertops

The new crop of laminates suitable for mid-century kitchen countertops continues. Reader Jon gets snaps for spotting this new “Motion” series of laminate from Pionite. Jon writes: Hi Pam, First, I love the site. I’ve been reading it since December when I purchased my teeny tiny 1946 house (originally a summer home) on the shore [...]

Over at her blog The Home Project, reader Linn and her husband continue to chronicle the remodel of their adorable bungalow kitchen. Recently, they rolled up their sleeves and installed a stainless steel countertop right over the old, existing laminate countertops. The headline: When first considering the stainless steel countertop option, Linn contacted a big [...]

How is this one, Retro Renovation readers? I recently scored a full box of est. 1960-65 era GE Textolite laminate samples, absolute mint condition unused. This is the first bunch — the others aren’t so over-the-top FABULOUS, but still are great gauges of what to look for. OMG. What else do I need to say. [...]

I just got off the phone with George from New York Metals – purveyors of the stainless steel edging to true to 40s 50s and 60s kitchen countertops. In particular — I’m loving the new “dogbone” design, and the new Warp and Weft designs. Dogbones are a classic midcentury motif — as in “dogbone sofa” … and Warp [...]

Vintage wallpaper for Sebastian — Femme1 sends us a great website
Femme1 discovers a bundle of new retro tiles for our decorating arsenal

These are delightful. I love the ones with the aqua-blue and coral touches. I also love those Dr. Seuss fish, and the diner, and the picnic table — well, all of them are great. Thanks so much.
These are fabulous finds! I’m working on some wallpaper designs at the moment and these are very inspiring.
Hi Helen, and welcome to our Retro Renovation community. I checked out your website and your illustrations – fantastic! Is your wallpaper for sale – and if so, where?
Hi,
Once I get around to it, I’m installing vintage 50′s bath room wall paper into one of our bath rooms (mine), in our ’58 design split level. WHEN (?) that happens, maybe I’ll send in a shot? Winter just sucks the motivation right out of me.
