Live near where you work. Some people work out of the down town and central part of the city and live central and vice versa. Not everyone can be piled high in condos or apts in the central part of the city. Not everyone can aford that. Where sprawl exists should be better public transportation to bring people in. Sidewalks are needed to join sprawled neighborhoods and commercial areas together. With a great connection of sidewalks and smarter planning in developments the sprawl could become concise little neighborhoods. If it is already there, there are ways of correcting the sprawl.

PS: There are way too many people in the public sector not allowed to work from home. All those who can work from home should be allowed to.

Hi Pam,

After writing for your site about what helps make for a good neighborhood, I decided I had more thoughts and wanted others to pipe in - so I began an article on the "News/Opinion" page of my website. It's called "A Healthy Neighborhood is...", and is currently the newest article in this section of the FUTURES Antiques web site. I hope you don't mind my mentioning it.
