Vintage teacups – reborn

Pam Kueber - Updated: November 10, 2020

Retro Renovation stopped publishing in 2021; these stories remain for historical information, as potential continued resources, and for archival purposes.

The lovely, charming and talented Jenn Ski spotted these. Vintage teacups – including quite everyday ones (is that Corell?) from 50s 60s and 70s – repurposed as little pendant lights. Grouped together – fabulous!

This is one of the most creative ideas I’ve seen in awhile. So original. I love it! I’d like to see what it looks like at the top where the wires meet. I might have a “need” for one of these. 😉

Personally, I like my Corelle cups right-side-up, full of coffee!

Yup, two of those (with the designs around the rim) are Pyrex. I’m a veteren thrift shopper, and was amazed to find that Pyrex (yes, even Corelle dinnerware) is the hot item these days. Believe you me, it made me feel ancient to realize that the young and the hip think that Corelle is vintage stuff.

That’s such a cool idea! Are those cups fireking and pyrex?
