Oh my gosh, Seattle Julie is THE woman of the week of the month of the year of infinity, for sending in this fabulous home-for-sale listing from the Alki area of Seattle. A biggie at 3,300 s.f., it was built in 1957 (peak year!) and this is the first time on the market in 47 years. Not too many words needed here, pardon me while I sell all my worldly belongings and my children so that I can go live in this one.
I’m crazy for cupolas.
Yowza basement.
I am weak at the knees by now.
Ok, so the divider thingy is very strange.
Even the foyer is breathtaking.
Had enough? Sorry, here is the entire 24-photo set! Mercy buckets, Julie, you rock!
- Three fireplaces in the house — and LOOK at that view
- Incredible cabinets, they look great with the aqua countertop — and look at the great, original range exhaust hood — oh, and see the GE pushbutton burner set?
- That is one weird divider piece. Ix-nay
- Fab foyer. Notice the repetition of the colonial lighting throughout the house. See. See. I’m telling you, this was ubiquitous. Embrace your inner Daughter (or Son) of the American Revolution! Unless you’re British of course – hi Fiona, hi Clare!
- Yowza, look at this basement with the floor tile and that bar. I am moving to Seattle, folks!
- Love the carport and cupola

wow! that’s one amazing house. i especially LOVE the basement!!! i don’t know about carpet in the bathrooms, though. is that typical?
Orgasmic!
Ugh I am green with envy! What a fab place!I too love that divider screen in the bathroom, lol. So your face is blocked while attending to “business” but your body isn’t? That is hysterical! I am coveting everything else in the home though.
Wow! Love all the original features.
What a basement!
whaaa I wanna move to the States and buy this house! Must play the lottery tonight ;o)
Lovely home!
Reminds me of the house across the street before it was
(gasp) updated.
That is the trend here as the original owners move on.
I remember at our closing the realtor told the owner that we were not going to make any changes to the house cause we loved it as it was.
(The realtor told us we needed our head examined)
Wow! Perfect house. Did anyone else notice that vintage kitchenaid dishwasher in the kitchen – that model is bulletproof and will run forever!
What was the listing price on this? Just curious.
The selling price was $747,950 which was maybe $2,000 off the asking price. And it closed in only 23 days (that means an offer came in almost immediately). I agree that this has to be one of my favorite all time houses too. Can’t get over the aqua counters and orange teapot – perfect! Anyway, thought you’d like to know (I’m a Wash. state Realtor and I looked it up – had me curious too!)
I Love this Website! Thanks so much!!! P.S. My relatives in the 60’s in Seattle had a PINK Side by Side Oven! Killer!!
