One of my very favorite movies ever ever ever – and now I get to watch it again for the interiors!
Pam,
I watched Bye Bye Birdie the other night and thought you’d like to check out the house of the lead characters, Its a beautiful colonial. In the middle of the movie there are two long scenes in the open foyer, kitchen, family room with glimpses into the living room. It’s a sage green and red scheme with white. The wood is pale and the stacked stone fireplace is a sage green hue. The kitchen has sage green cabinets with stainless and white appliances. Beautiful. The furniture is Early American maple. The table and captain chairs are red and the wing back chairs and curtains are a red and green plaid. My Mother would have swooned. She admits that Early American made her pulse race, which is probably why, as a kid, I was surrounded by it.
You should check it out.

I love that movie. One of the first I ever saw Ann-Margret in. I’ve got a big crush on her.
