I have discovered wonderful pink tile in my 1957 ranch; however, the previous owner painted it black!!!!! How do I safely remove the black paint from the wonderful pink tile. Also, the previous owner faux painted the knotty pine paneling! Why does someone buy a 1950's ranch and try to make it into another era?????

I need some advice! I am remodeling my pink and black (1950's) bathroom. I can't decide to whether I should put a black counter top on a white vanity or a pink, black, and white marbled counter top.
