I wondered if it wasn't one of those "fixer-uppers" along Sunny Dunes. I see I was correct! I used to live at Sunny Dunes and Thornhill, before I bought my condo on South Palm Canyon, so I've watched some of those houses sit on the market for ages. The one at the corner of Sunny Dunes and Sunrise is even slated for auction, I believe.

I just looked at the original Racquet Club Road Estates brochure (thanks for sending that link!!). The price of those Alexander homes when first sold, circa 1961, was just $21,500 !!!!! My CAR cost more than that today! Oh, how I wish I could have bought one back then ... though that was a lot of money in 1961. But those homes have increased in value by 100-200 times, a pretty substantial return on the investment over a 40-50 year span.

Frank, can you tell us exactly where this time capsule is? Since I am in PS, I want to drive by and have a look at it.

And thanks for the compliment. Glad you enjoyed my write-up on El Rancho Vista.
