Hey Deb aka Femme1, I continue to be on the lookout for images of people playing accordions, recorders and other vintage-y instruments. Those were the days, my friend, those were the days...

What happened to all those accordian/guitar combos playing in indoor gazebos? Would Sally and Billy entertain the family with a rousing rendition of "Lady of Spain"?

Oh, and is that cart filled with booze? The 'rents actually might need a little "tuning up" before they can handle the music.

(I'm really a huge accordian fan---for a long time, I had some bumper stickers on my car: "Pro-accordian---AND I VOTE!" and "Accordians don't play Lady of Spain. People do.")

Wow, I remember my aunt and uncle had that floor in black. It had 2 inset shuffleboards.

While I can't find a pic of the floor, here's the directions on how to install it. The wonders of the internet. http://www.floorexpert.com/armstrong/fpoxpert.nsf/fe91b78a0945a68a85256eba00710742/cff1665e8ef230cf85256ca70067f513?OpenDocument

Seems like shuffleboard was shown a lot in magazines. Yet, I have never heard anyone, "Wow, we used to love playing shuffleboard!" Still, I think having an Armstrong basement would be fun!
