Kitchens – Countertops

Cracked ice laminate seems to have been a very popular choice for vintage dinette table tops, and I hear from readers fairly often asking where they can find it for kitchen counters. Crackle ice laminate is still available from a number of sources online. Like the other special-order boomerang laminates available, these crackle ice laminates [...]

Wow, does anyone know about countertops like these? Becky recently bought a time capsule and her french provincial kitchen (I’d call it) includes these countertops. Reminds me of these Fritz floor tiles. Anyone work with this back in the day who knows? Kind of, an early-days version of Silestone or the other composite-quartz countertops sold [...]

Formica last month introduced several new laminate designs that I think could be great for a Retro Renovation kitchen countertop or even a bathroom vanity. Precious! I would not have been able to keep a “poker face” during the real estate negotiations!
I had (may still have somewhere) an almost matching pink shower curtain with these same fish, minus the treasure chest and plus some seahorses!
My Grandma had this same wallpaper in her bathroom. She remodeled a few years ago and I saved a big swatch . . . turquoise scheme instead of pink but exactly the same design.
How cool, Jeff. welcome! And I love your work / portfolio!
You, too, Jeff – I’m asking new commenters today, how did you find us?
I was doing a little research on this wallpaper pattern and it brought me here.
What can I say, I’m the overly-sentimental type. “Grandma’s Bathroom” defines a less-complicated time in my life . . . I’d like to hold on to it as long as possible.
