I had seen ads for Willett furniture in old magazines that I collect and then last year at an estate sale in Lombard Illinois came upon a set of Willett "Wildwood Cherry" bedroom furniture- a tall dresser, bedside table and twin beds- all in good condition. For $500, we purchased the Willett furnitue and it is now in my 15 year old son's bedroom. My son,Chris is like your average teen as he loves to be contrary. So, he made plenty of noises about wanting to furnish his room in Ikea (!) stuff instead. We called his bluff and offered to move the furniture into his younger brother's room. That shut him up- the Willett remains in Chris's room. It seems even a 15 year old boy can recognize the quality in Willett.

[Note: Nothing wrong with Ikea, for what it is, but "engineered" wood vs. solid cherry? No contest...]

Herb, it was the Louisville Antique Mall. A big, 5-story affair with a cafe at the top. The Willett was on the ... 2nd... maybe 3rd floor. It was nice!

I just purchased a partial set of the same line of Willett at an auction here in Cincinnati. Do you remember the name and/or the location of the shop selling the furniture you so kindly photograhed? Thank you!
