I think a big part of the appeal of the retro look is it is on a scale that seems unpretentious, comfortable and friendly. Materials are usually in lighter, brighter colors, which are such a pleasant change from the dark, heavy granite and marble stuff, which always makes me feel like I am in a rock quarry.</description>
