Pam and Friends!

I hate to post to an old thread, I also commented on today's post.

I'm so excited I have a Saga dining set coming my way; 6 chairs, table with leaf and hutch. I got it all for $200 after I bargained! I'm thrilled, the lady is even refinishing the top as she had started to strip the finish on the top which was damaged.

I also got another glass door hutch last night for $30, but it has no markings and is not recognizable to me, it's just mid century style. I need them both to display my American Fostoria!

Now that I've seen the Saga in person I think it may be what my Great Aunt had in her dining room.

I may try to find or have made an extra leaf and then add upholstered chairs at the end for 8 person seating. So excited!

My Mom gave me a nice set of hers when I bought the house, but it's very light wood and I always dreaded the thought of re-staining it. Now I won't have to, although I wish I hadn't had my living room side chairs' legs finished in mahogany to match my Corona Sofa legs, because it appears as I had more mid century furniture it will be more like walnut. I bought the chairs because of their midcentury flavor, but I guess mixing wood tones is ok.

Hello Elisa: I realize that it's been some time since you posted your comment but I wanted to know if you're still interested in the Broyhill Premier Emphasis Dining Room? My mom passed away last year so we are looking to sell her beautiful 10 piece Broyhill Premier Emphasis dining room furniture (Large table with leaves and table pad, Buffet, lighted Breakfront China Cabinet and 6 dining chairs).

All pieces are in great shape, i.e., the dining table always had the table pad on it so there are no scratches of any kind on it. One of the drawers to the china cabinet is alittle hard to close but with alittle TLC, I'm sure it could be made to feel like new!!

We live in the Northeast section of Philadelphia so the location is perfect! Please reply to this post if you're interested in this beautiful set!!
