I live out here in Covina, Ca. I frequent thrift shops to find retro and mid-century furniture and I found a blonde- veneered piece that is similar to yours but it plays 45's instead of 12"s. Its a firestone too! I do not know the back story, but I know it came from a great home because it is in mint condition, still works, and like yours, the only thing that shows its age is the fabric that covers the speakers. Great piece and great find. I live out here in Covina, Ca. I frequent thrift shops to find retro and mid-century furniture and I found a blonde- veneered piece that is similar to yours but it plays 45′s instead of 12″s. Its a firestone too! I do not know the back story, but I know it came from a great home because it is in mint condition, still works, and like yours, the only thing that shows its age is the fabric that covers the speakers.
