Cracked ice laminate seems to have been a very popular choice for vintage dinette table tops, and I hear from readers fairly often asking where they can find it for kitchen counters. Crackle ice laminate is still available from a number of sources online. Like the other special-order boomerang laminates available, these crackle ice laminates [...]

I felt blog ego come upon me (horrors, ego!) when Ronn challenged my assessment that the countertop in this kitchen was original. Maybe yes, maybe no, but if his belief is that it’s 90s because of the integral backsplash and edge (rather than the pattern) – I did respond that I’ve spotted integral design for [...]

The new crop of laminates suitable for mid-century kitchen countertops continues. Reader Jon gets snaps for spotting this new “Motion” series of laminate from Pionite. I LOVE The Inkspots. I love playing their music when I’m working in the kitchen. What a great sound they had!
Oh I love the inkspots too! We just bought 25 old records this weekend at half price records and books, a buck each ( we need more old records like we need a hole in our head, lol, but it’s find to find them ) I can’t wait till hubby gets our silvertone console stereo fixed to listen to them, and I am pretty sure we have the inkspots too.
Ugh, I mean it’s FUN to find them, haha! :OP
