Vintage auto upholstery
This vintage auto upholstery for 50s and 60s Fords, Chevys and Chryslers would be good for any number of upholstery projects – and each design appears to be available in multiple yardages, at a reasonable price. There is certainly nothing more durable than auto upholstery. I love the colors and textures, too.

Interesting idea. I see a cool couch in my basement now, with coachwork culled from a two-toned 1950s Chevy. Ahhh, that old car smell in the basement…
As groovy as it looks, I couldn’t have a favorite chair or couch covered in that sort of fabric. It’s just not comfortable when wearing shorts. I always had to have a beach towel over the seat during the Summer in my ‘66 Plymouth Belvedere. It’s bench seat fabric looked very much like #3 in that set—very similar color too. It always caught my leg hairs and felt scratchy.
If folks have a specific type of vintage automotive fabric they are seeking, my parents shop may be able to help. A big portion of their clientèle includes people having their vintage car interiors restored, so they have access to a huge selection of fabrics – some vintage, some reproduction, and some are part of the huge stash of inventory they’ve built up over the past 30 years, ha! So I just wanted to offer that up in case anyone is looking, email them with the specifics of what you are looking for and maybe they will be able to get it for you!
