Vintage auto upholstery

by pam kueber on July 22, 2009

This vintage auto upholstery for 50s and 60s Fords, Chevys and Chryslers would be good for any number of upholstery projects – and each design appears to be available in multiple yardages, at a reasonable price. There is certainly nothing more durable than auto upholstery. I love the colors and textures, too.

As groovy as it looks, I couldn’t have a favorite chair or couch covered in that sort of fabric. It’s just not comfortable when wearing shorts. I always had to have a beach towel over the seat during the Summer in my ‘66 Plymouth Belvedere. It’s bench seat fabric looked very much like #3 in that set—very similar color too. It always caught my leg hairs and felt scratchy.
