My daughter is trying to renovate her 1950's kitchen. the countertop is shot, but the cabinets are still good, and have a modern look. Her cooktop is not working and she cannot get parts. She loves the wall oven, but it may need to be replaced at some point. Are you keeping your appliances? Would you be willing to sell them? Do you know where new or renovated appliances from this era are available.

Thanks,
Nancy

I have a broken trade winds fan for the kitchen and want to know if the company is still in business to get parts. It is over the stove and the fan is quite fancy and is first class and vents outside.
It is built in with a hood.
I am in Boston.

We purchased a large 50's ranch with an untouched 50's kitchen. Included in the kitchen is the vintage thermador 24" wall oven and a 44" 6 burner electric thermador cooktop. Above the cooktop is a roughly 60" x 19" stainless steel exhaust fan. The fan is made by Trade-Wind Motor Fan, and I'm guessing the ss hood must have been custom made for it. Also above the wall oven is another Trade-Wind exhaust fan. All of the appliances/fans are very well cared for and have worked fine for the last two years we have lived here, however the oven door seems to have a missing/broken return spring. We have not been able to obtain a repair on the door. Does anyone recognize the exhaust fans to which I refer? I have not found any similiar on the web. Finally, is a fix for the oven door available? Thanks Greg
