The house we are working on has them in the livingroom - original 1955. We took them down though. They made the room look too short and squat. Don't worry, we didn't get rid of them! We're using them somewhere else. We have a simliar knotty pint kitchen with the curvey edges as in the photos above too. And even the light fixtures are the same!
