“Fake butcher block countertops” are another one of those original vintage house features that I often hear called “hideous” on other websites. 1953 Formica pink kitchen – today’s kitchen flashback design

I am putting together a benefit show where we are paying homage to eras past iwth a mini-museum of memorabilia, artifacts etc. I’m hoping to attract local antique shops and historical society’s to provide larger pieces for ease of travel, these pieces can be sold during the silent auction on consigment.
Question. It’s crucial that I choose the right era to represent. what ere have you found to be the most favored in the 30-70 age group?
Appreciate your help!
Rachel.
Hi Rachel, on this site we are all about architecture and collectibles from the postwar era, 1946-1966 or so. I think this era is very popular … but it’s hard to say what your own market and audience would be most interested in… I’d suggest you actually reach out to your antique shops and see what they say.
