Kitchens – Countertops

Several readers have asked me how to install the stainless steel countertop edging from New York Metals. In this post, I’ll take you step-by-step through the process that we used to install the metal edging in my kitchen. I had my countertops laminated by an outfit recommended by by contractor. They made all the countertops [...]

Many thanks to Whitney, who just tipped me that Wilsonart has introduced 11 new colors of boomerang laminate. There now are a total of 14 colorways — the most of any manufacturer. I am quite liking the “butterscotch” above — looks like you could use this in a kitchen with yellow kitchen cabinets. There is [...]

Update: Almost all of these designs are now discontinued. See my up-to-date stories on all retro laminates here: Kitchen/Countertops Category. I am very interested in your vinyl called “Basket weave K-83″ I think.
I can’t read the very small print and it won’t enlarge for me. Can you send me some information. We are hoping this is sheet vinyl. It’s very unique and I love it.
Please send me the cost and where can I buy it?
We do have a General Contractors license in California and our order is for a re-model in a residential kitchen. Waiting anxiously to hear from you.
Thanks for your time.
