That is a vintage Daystrom dinette, folks, and I swear if there were one aquamarine chair, this item would not be on the blog: I’d be on my way with in my 1999 Ford Ranger to Wilmington, DE, to make it mine. Drats. There are some terrific kitchen cabinet pulls – at a great price, and available in large multiples (I think). Oh, and my bargello mania continues. I’m finding lots of good stuff these days. Disclosure: Retro Renovation is a member of the ebay partner network and receives a small percentage of any item you bid on and buy when you click into ebay from here (a great way to support the blog. Many thanks.)

Vintage Schlage doorplates, Lightolier bathroom light and more
I know that “advice” is not given on the site … but does anyone know if a Schlage escutchen will fit on a Kwikset lock. I feel that the Kwikset is a newer lock (from the look of the doorknob), but can clearly see the outline of an ‘atomic escutchen’ imprinted on the original wood door. I’d love to replace what is missing!
hi Janet, to clarify, I’m okay with basic household stuff being on the site. but when diy and fixit questions start getting more complicated and especially if they enter the realm of environmental and safety issues, that’s when i say nix — on these things, i recommend professional advice.
Small world! As soon as you said Wilmo Delaware, I had to give that set another glance and totally recognized the shelving in the background- I used to work in that shop! They did buyouts for folks moving and sometimes we’d get some really cool mid century stuff that I loved and all the nice old ladies I worked with just scratched their heads and smiled at me. I didn’t make much money at that time, but what a great job to be able to help old folks move, and see their stuff- sometimes in their original setting. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
I was going to say that the red and the purple chair would both look awesome reupholstered in turquoise, but I see that the seat matches the frame.
Great find! Someone buy it and go with a “candy” theme for your kitchen.
