Decorating a mid-century fireplace – help!

Here is a tricky design question. Susan writes:Hi Pam,.After two years, I still cannot figure out what to put on these shelves that are built into my fireplace! They are 10.5″ wide and 5.75″ deep, and they are spaced about 11.5″ apart (vertically, from the top of one shelf to the top of the next, if that makes sense). I thought I’d pose the question to you (and possibly your readers), since I can’t be the only one struggling with this….Thanks,Susan, aka Kitty Mommy

More Vintage Vera trifecta today as my research continues to take me down all Vera licensing avenues: You can get a completely matchy matchy kitchen with tablecloth, napkins, placements, towels, potholders — even an apron. If your kitchen colors coordinate — what a perky summer look. Prices aren’t really too bad, either, $25 for the tablecloth, for example. Link: Vintage Vera Sunflower table linens at Dillards.

I’m a little late to the Vintage Vera Neumann party going on over at Anthropologie. It also appears that the yummy Vintage Vera holiday linens that I featured last season have been discontinued – so smarty pants to those of you who got while the gettin’ was good.
