Congratulations to: Tracy O, the winner of our recent contest to win a new HGTV Home Shaw Floors area rug. I paid $9.09 and did an audited drawing via Random.org, and Tracy’s comment – #578 in my complete & comments-in-order-as-they-came-in admin panel log of all 1,018 entries — came up the winner. What were her lucky words? Tracy wrote:
Fingers still crossed that I’m the lucky winner of a beautiful new Shaw rug! My living room wood floor hopes so too.
Tracy has been alerted… she responded that she is indeed alive not a bot… and she’s already in touch with the nice folks at Shaw, who contributed the prize. Hey, readers — don’t fret that you didn’t win this time. There will be another giveaway in September! I’ll tell you more about that coming up. Pam, thanks for the contest; the entries were fun to read. Most of all…..you’re back. I was having withdrawal symptoms – no midmod fixes; I resorted to looking at my second hand copy of Alan Hess’s Ranch House book to fill the void.

I went to look at the rug today, and it is gorgeous in person, nice quality. If I don’t win your next round (HA!) I’m probably going to have to order it.
Oh man, I’d love a new rug for my early 40s 1 and 1/2 story home. It’s just a little box of a house – but just big enough for me. Winter is coming and a nice area rug would keep my toes warm.
