• 200 or so vintage Nutone doorbells… and other cheap & cheerful treasures on the ‘bay

200 or so vintage NOS Nutone doorbells I heard from several readers about Nutone treasures currently on ebay. Need a doorbell — or 200, asked (oops, who? deleted email! sorry!)…And, sorry to mess up those of you trying to get the 20 piece set of Nutone Food Center gadgets. I also love the two vintage bathroom (?) sconces… and there’s a lovely complete-ish set of Stylebuilt bathroom accessories. With the economy being so unsettling these days, I’m trying to focus these carousels on cheap, cheerful, NOS-really-useful-for-the-renovation and/or rarely seen. I love it when you send me tips on your finds — keep ‘em coming, and I’ll try to do better with the credit next time. My bad.

Disclosure: When you buy anything from these ebay carousels or after you click into ebay here, it nets me a teensy commission.

There’s another food center auction for a NOS version as well. The last I checked, it was going for less, but will probably continue to climb. I’m trying to sway my wife into getting one, but we have a Kitchen Aid mixer, so she is reluctant…

I’ve been on a hunt for a chime doorbell, maybe I can find one today!

Ok I have a suggestion (or maybe I’m doing something wrong) – but could you make your ebay referral link go directly to whatever it is you are talking about (in this case, the Nutone)?

I’ve wanted to view items you’ve suggested via posts like this on several occasions and always give up because when I click your link (which I am happy to do!) it takes me to eBay’s front page.

      Does that make sense? lol

Rina, the ebay carousel is a bit tricky. You need to click on the PHOTO of the item… then on the chartreuse green “View and Bid” box to get to that item. If you screw up – Refresh the page and try again. Good luck.

I bought a vintage starburst NuTone doorbell earlier this year off of ebay and it wired right in and works great with my current doorbell chimes. It matches the starburst door escutcheon I have and it was very easy to install. Love all of the doorbells!!!

I have a friend in Las Vegas who has the ‘Live Better Electrically’ emblem above her front door. She would probably love the door bell.
