Orange is the Retro Renovation 2012 Color of the Year. Crikey, can’t everyone use a little to add snap crackle POP to their midcentury interiors?

Tip to using the ebay carousel: To go to a particular item, click on its photo (NOT on the ebay logo) — then, click on the lime green “View and Bid” box, which will take you to ebay. Disclosure: When you buy anything from these ebay carousels or after you click into ebay here, it nets me a teensy commission.

My mom had that Time Mark timer, but in avocado green & brown!

Orange has been on my mind a lot lately, too. I love the green and orange combo, and orange and brown.

i have that timer, only mine is a cream/brown combo, found at goodwill! i’m sort of surprised they have it listed so high; they seemed to be pretty easy to find on etsy and ebay.

Orange really brightens up anything! I just painted orange on every other drawer of an old brown dresser and it really pops! Great color.

I remember hearing that using orange in the kitchen makes you hungry. You should check that theory out.

Love that Bitossi Lamp – The Orange/Brown is relatively uncommon, most of their wares were in the Rimini Blu colorway

We’re planning on painting our front door and the gate to the courtyard orange. Hope it’s not too shocking. We live in a neighborhood with some fantastic mid-century homes, and several of them have colorful doors in lime green and turquoise and Chinese red.
