• Adrian Pearsall, George Nelson, Turco barbecue ball & other NOS delights

adrian pearsall sofa chairs ottomanturco barbecue ballgeorge nelson wall clockI chased down the ebay sellers of the items above and received permission to feature these delicious items on the blog. Note — the listing for the Adrian Pearsall only looks to include the chairs, I am not sure if the entire set is still available. The George Nelson clock is really the dial set, I believe — you install it directly in the wall, typically wood. As in this streamline moderne time capsule house. Also in this carousel: A set of three NOS linen poodle towels and a darling poodle kit-kat-like clock that I first spotted over at Retro Ruth’s.

Tip to using the ebay carousel:  To go to a particular item, click on its photo (NOT on the ebay logo) — then, click on the lime green “View and Bid” box, which will take you to ebay. Disclosure: When you buy anything from these ebay carousels or after you click into ebay here, it nets me a teensy commission.

Wow! That is one of your best carousels yet. I remember someone having one of those barbeque balls when I was young. Most families had the Weber grills. We, of course, had a cheap flat one from Sears. But someone we knew had the orange ball. My parents ran with a really cool crowd, but it didn’t rub off on them.

I can totally relate re “my parents ran with a really cool crowd, but it didn’t rub off on them.”

Mine were (DAD!) sorta hip, he liked the eames, danish modern. Mom ruined it all with her early american taste. All of the cool things I buy for my house these days is pretty much based on their friends homes. :)

We had one of those balls that I got at a garage sale about 15 years ago. Unfortunately we had it out on our deck uncovered and it eventually rusted through :( Wish I had taken better care. It worked great as a grill — very nice design, although not very large.

We’ve got the same (similar?) copper clock installed above the fireplace in our 1959 colonial.

I have a set of 6 of those cute French Poodle towels in various colors that you have on your carousel. I didn’t pay anywhere near that much however – mine were a steal at the time. They are currently waiting to be put in my pink poodle bathroom once it’s done.

The top furniture set reminds of another kind that I’ve wanted for years now. Early on in “That 70′s Show” they showed the Pinciotti’s backyard and the furniture was just awesome and amazing. It was that bright 70′s yellow and white and of course had flowers. All the different chairs just looked so comfortable and bright and happy. My dream backyard furniture set would be just like it. I also liked the Foreman’s patio furniture as well.

yes, GREAT show for interiors. My fave is the kitchen in the protagonist couple’s house. (I never paid attention to names.) The best part was that they turned a row of cheese graters into a light bar. LMFAO

I always wondered about the painted canned ham cans hanging outside the patio doors of the Forman’s kitchen. Was that a “thing” to do?

I bought the orange ball grill @ a garage sale years ago and it was in perfect condition. I had glass cut for the two grates, half circle for top and full circle for the lower grate. I used it inside as a liquor bar with glasses on one shelf. It was very cool open or closed.
I then put up on ebay as i used it (modern liquor bar) and sold for a great profit. This is the only one besides mine that I have ever seen.
This one appears to be close to perfect.
      Still Love it.
