I’m kind of obsessed with my living room lighting project, and with getting some geek girl stuff done with the blog, so my latest stories have not been overachiever escapades lately. Maybe next week, when things *settle down* haha. I still am lookin’ at my daily ebay, and there is always lots more to share than I can possibly feature. In today’s carousel, in happy flower power colors: 11″ tall vintage 1967 Gemma Taccogna paper dolls. I first learned about Gemma from Cathy of California. Gemma is the berries.
I also spotted three art-graphic clothes hangers, one of which is all naked Burt Reynolds ish. The seller says 1930s, but I don’t believe it — 1970s, gotta be. The wonders just keep appearing, like magic. Click on through for the carousel of 10 items (update: listings now long gone)–>
Thanks to ebay sellers scrap*queen (Gemma item) and wyomingantiques34 (hangers) for granting me permission to reproduce photos of their item here on the blog. Thanks for unearthing these lovelies, and good luck with your sales.

1934 Mayflower Cast Iron stove in New London, Wis.
I thought I’d add my own suggestion. I’m in the process of “correcting” my 1950’s kitchen, so this awesome stove won’t work, for me, but hopefully some lucky reader out there!

I love Gemma too! Last week I scored 2 of her pieces at a thrift store of all places! I was pretty excited. Of course I blogged about it 🙂 Here it is if you want to see!

The hanger looks a lot like Peter Wyngarde. He was a British actor who did a lot of guest roles in the 1960’s on programs like The Avengers, The Prisoner, and The Saint.

Steve, that’s exactly who it is, Peter Wyngarde. So the hanger’s not from the 30s but probably early 70s. Starred in several British TV series 1969-72, especially popular as the ladies’ man detective, “Jason King.”, considered super sexy with the mustache. Unfortunately his career took a nosedive when he was arrested for having sex with a truck driver in a roadside men’s room in the mid-70s. He is one of my favorite actors and it’s too bad he could never recover his reputation after that unfortunate incident.

I bought a sheet from that roll of contact paper/same seller recently, it’s from 1965 and the stick is still good! It was quite a pain cutting them all out, but cheaper than buying a zillion Jonathan Adler containers! 😉

Hmmmm. If the seller is correct on the date could that be an Errol Flynn hanger? He was the Burt Reynolds of that era, AND he would have looked similar in the mustache department…. Hmmmmm. Hmmmmm. An odd puzzler….
