We’ve featured a lot of mid century homes here on the blog — but this might be a first — Facebook follower Elise spotted this 1958 Victor mid century era mobile home for sale in Wichita, Kansas. If the snazzy chrome and aqua accents on the outside don’t get you excited, wait until you see some of the retro detailing on the inside.
The home’s interior is outfitted with some cool retro built in shelving, wood kitchen cabinets and paneled ceiling, a trio of mid century pendant lights and a cool starburst clock.
Looks like there are some original pinch pleat drapes covering the windows in there too.
From the listing on Craigslist:
This is a vintage 1958 Victor mobile home in Uptown Park, Nickerson. The home has been incredibly maintained and has very little damage. The exterior has been repainted to factory colors, the interior has many of the original appliances and features still in great condition. The home is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath, with a smaller area that can be used as a second sleeping area. It is a unique and vintage home that is still very liveable and it’s in a cozy and affordable park with only $120 lot rent. Financing is available on this home.
This mobile home is proof that mid century style isn’t limited to homes with brick and mortar foundations. A huge thanks goes out to Craigslist seller Eric for allowing us to share his photos here on the blog and to Facebook follower Elise for spotting this mid century marvel.

Yowza! This trailer would be great for a rec room or writers cabin or guest quarters if someone had lots of ground around their home to park it. Would be great as part of a collection of rentals in a vacation area as Jody has pointed out.

I’m glad someone finally snapped it up. It’s been for sale for quite a long time. I hope it’s in caring hands because it’s a beautiful trailer.

Wow! It is so satisfying to know that these time capsules are so well cared for. We own four vintage trailers; a1952 Royal Spartanette, a 1956 Spartan Imperial Mansion, a 1954 Boles Aero and a 1958 Spartan Imperial Mansion. If you want to see a real treat type in Spartan Carousel and check out the images. These have round kitchens with pink appliances.

Pam,
There’s a trailer park in Albuquerque, New Mexico called “Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post”. They have about six vintage trailer rentals. The pictures on the insides are awesome! They have one called “Evelyn”. It’s a ’54 VaKaShunette. It’s not for rent, but the pictures are cool!
My husband and I are staying in one called “Flossie” this July. It’s a ’59 Spartan. Check out their website at enchantedtrails.com. I think you’ll like it.

Jody,
The enchantedtrails.com site is great. I love the old trailers done in vintage style. How cool would that be to be able to rent one!

John, I was thinking the exact same thing! Perfect 2nd home….or 1st home for that matter!

This would make such a fun vacation home! My aunt and uncle used their Airstream as a “guest room” before they added on to their house and it had a similar (albeit smaller) feel to it.

I love this! The listing has already been deleted so I wonder if it’s sold. It wouldn’t surprise me – what a cool place!

I love this! My husband lived in a very similar trailer from the ’60s through the early ’80s. It was located in a small park that had many long-time residents that took pride of their ownership. It’s lovely to see a mobile home that was cared for so well.
I met my husband in the ‘70s, and I can remember every inch of his immaculate home. It had a lovely aqua blue tub and sink, and many built-ins that rendered the need for much additional furniture obsolete. He has nothing but fond memories of growing up in that home and park.
