For our fourth installment of 99 ideas to decorate a pink bathroom, we focus on the all pink vintage bathroom. This is my personal favorite because, hey — I have an all pink vintage style bathroom! It is fun to see ways that I could change up the look of my pink bathroom with minimal effort, by simply wallpapering, painting and changing the shower curtain and towel colors. Let the fun begin!
Decorating an all pink tile bathroom taking color combo inspiration from wallpaper:
Bradbury & Bradbury’s Atomic doodle wallpaper in pink might have been made for an all-pink vintage bathroom. The fun shapes keep the room interesting while also popping in a few more colors — gold, black and white — into the space. The rest of the room should be kept simple so a white shower curtain and plain pink and gold towels get the job done without detracting from the fun wallpaper pattern.
I used this vintage large scale leaf print wallpaper from Hannah’s Treasures on one of our pink and white bathroom mood boards, but it works really well in an all pink vintage bathroom too. All that you’ll need to finish off the space is a plain white shower curtain and a selection of light pink and grey towels. Easy and elegant.
Watership down: Reader Theresa sent us this pink on pink bathroom design using an adorable black and white bunny print toile wallpaper, a black and white striped shower curtain, and lavender towels to create a Watership Down theme based on the classic novel.
Retro-a-roni: Reader Retroski made this neutral, retro-riffic pink on pink bathroom design using vintage Nancy McClelland wallpaper from Hannah’s Treasures, grey and gold towels and an Italian seersucker gold, grey and white shower curtain, clear glass containers, and this sunflower mirror from Crate & Barrel.
Frilly and feminine: Reader Robin, NV created this design as an homage to her paternal grandmother, who loved pink bathrooms. To recreate her grandmother’s feminine style, Robin, NV pulled together this vintage floral wallpaper from Hannah’s Treasures and paired it with a frilly white double swag shower curtain and pink and white towels. Grandma would be proud, Robin, NV!
Decorating an all pink tile bathroom taking color combo inspiration from a shower curtain:
This look centers around this white, black and coral pink flower shower curtain that blends in with the tile. To create a harmonious and flattering retro botox affect, the walls are also painted light peachy pink. Light and dark pink towels finish the room.
This pretty flowered pink and yellow shower curtain really lights up the room with a sunny glow. A pale yellow wall color ensures the sunshine bounces around the whole bathroom while towels in dark pink and green bring out the darker hues in the shower curtain pattern to help ground the space.
This off-white, green and pink floral butterfly curtain from ModCloth makes this bathroom feel garden fresh. Choosing a light sage green for the wall paint coordinates with the curtain and uses the complementary color scheme of pink and green to give a balanced feel to the space. Repeating the same complementary color scheme in the pink and green towels helps give the room a cohesive feeling.
We couldn’t do an all pink bathroom without using a few flamingos — and this charming and whimsical pink, white, aqua and blue flamingo shower curtain makes this pink bathroom feel fun and tropical at the same time. A pale pink wall color lets the shower curtain take center stage and coordinating hot pink and aqua towels repeat the hot hues from the curtain elsewhere in the room.
A flamboyance of fun: Who wouldn’t have fun seeing this colorful flamingo shower curtain every day in their pink bathroom? A medium teal blue color, pulled straight from the shower curtain design creates an intense backdrop that lets the curtain take center stage. Finishing off the look are dark pink and white towels.
Folk flowers: Who’d have thought you could mix these colors! Shower curtain is from Society 6.
Lilly Pulitzer fun and flowery: This pink vintage bathroom feels fun and flowery thanks to a vivid pink and green flower print shower curtain by Lilly Pulitzer, a coordinating spring green wall color and light pink and deep berry pink towels.
Gaga for googie: Reader Robin, NV sent in this googie-filled bathroom design featuring an atomic googie patterned shower curtain from Cafe Press, vintage sign art from Etsy seller RetroRoadsidePhoto and pink and deep teal towels.

Your ideas are super but I have a problem you can solve, I can’t.
My bath has pink tile 3/4 up the wall with basket weave flooring in
pink and grey with a small burgundy tile for accent.
Should I take the wallpaper down and just paint or what kind of
paper would look nice. My fixtures are white. Thank you!

Personally, I am the #1 fan of wallpaper.

We have the punk with Burgandy accent tiles. We took the wallpaper down that was there and painted it a nice white. It looks brighter and bigger now. I have been using accessories to add bling.

Fun ideas, but none (so far!) that appeal to me, which realky surprises me. I usually find one or two concepts that catch by eye. Perhaps a colour story with stronger usage of black or charcoal? I’m not anti-pink at all, but it’s always been difficult for me to gravitate to. It’s why the pink tiles in the main floor bathroom stayed minimalist and paired with white everywhere until we sold it. I just wasn’t inspired in there the way I was in other rooms in the house.

Hi Mag, I am not into black and charcoal. See my various rants to Resist the Greige Nation: https://retrorenovation.com/search-results/?q=resist%20the%20greige%20nation

Oh, and I was in my local Goodwill the other day, hoping I would find some inexpensive tiki-like planters for my new patio. I didn’t find any, but I saw a woman who had scored some brand new or nearly new PINK and GREEN bath towels! She had a bunch of other stuff, too, like vintage dishes and Corelle casseroles, so that it looked as though she were just moving into a new place with a midcentury vibe.
Mind you, when I moved into my pink and gray bath, there were no decent towels in Goodwill of any color. She must have lucked out coming on that day.

Pam, you are so funny, posting your “secrets” on the web site. You must indeed be getting squirrely.
My favorites this time are the wallpaper with big gray leaves with pink, the green floral with pink and the flamingo shower curtain with aqua. Wish I had thought of introducing aqua with my pink and gray bath.

I would never expect to hear myself saying this….but I LOVE the flamingo shower curtains. lol That first one would make a fabulous wallpaper!

I love all of these, which surprised me because I’ve never been a fan of pink. I could definitely live with and enjoy any of these bathrooms! For some reason I really like the pink and coral combo!
Ramona Dahl says
I like the flamingo combinations the most, though all are lovely.
I would recommend if decorating this way-taking the color cues from the shower curtain-to buy several shower curtains because they will have a shorter lifespan compared to the towels.
