Wow! Is this ever fun! It’s like watching House Hunters except with really, really, cool houses. Thank you for letting us peek into so many living rooms. I’m inspired.

I really like the plant stand Chelsea and Mike have in their living room – any insight on where to find one like it?

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the aqua, pink, orange and other fun 50’s colors. Working on my own mid-century right now, and will be using some pops of the same colors.

I love how in the first pic the painting coordinates perfectly with the fabric on the windows. NAILED IT!

That silk screen of flying geese was a big seller back when my seventies college job was working for the textile importer who had exclusive rights to every Swedish factory -but Marimekko ( Crate and Barrel had the big M). It came in a blue/green and black/grey colorway- but the autumnal version shown literally flew out the door on Saturdays. We didn’t even bother returning the bolt to the display after each panel was cut. If memory serves the retail was around $40 – plus the cost of the wood stretchers. This meant you also needed a staple gun and the DIY spirit to mount the panel.

Ooh! I’m looking forward to the next few days to see these posts! With just the few already up: There were probably somewhat rigid decorating ‘do’s and don’ts’ in this time period so I like how people interpret from then to now in showcasing their treasures (the mantle crowded with tiki’s).
The first puppy – All-American dog? Schnauzer (referencing “Car 54, Where Are You?”), or Affenpinscher (or is that Aaron Rodgers in disguise?!), dining room/living room – could that be a Reader’s Digest Condensed Book on the top shelf?! The Yorkie (is that Mignon, Lisa Douglas’ pup from “Green Acres”?) who I’m sure can’t have rugs because of burrowing instead of…ahem, you know…
Oh, this is going to be F-U-N!!!
