A real pleasure to see all these lovely homes. I’m still looking for mine but I have some of the Danish modern furniture to put into it. Thanks for all the pictures.
Kay says
Love looking at “real” spaces. Getting so many ideas!

Lori T gets my vote for most authentic, best put together. Wish there was a way to ask questions of the folk’s posting their images. Would love it if more people let us know location of their special places.
This is a great idea, love seeing everyone’s contributions.

Thanks so much Sara for the lovely compliments on my home. We live in North Carolina and we bought our home around ten years ago. It was built in 1958 and we’ve been working hard on bringing it back to the original look. I love going to the Restore and Flea markets and finding little extras to add to my home. Thanks again and have a very MCM day. Lori T.

So many fab wall units! I’m jealous of you all. Thought I was going to get one at an estate sale Friday, but I was told emphatically that it was not for sale.

Thanks for sharing. Some great spaces and lots of variety from super chic to fun and funky. Some really creative ideas, like Jonny’s uniquely shadow-box framed pass-through and the intense apple green in the living room with “The Help” coffee table.
Jonny says
Thanks! The shadow box I cut up was badly damaged but so cool looking, took me a while to figure out how to use it.

I love this post! It’s really fun and it is great inspiration. Lots of beautiful color schemes, nice rooms and great furniture pieces to admire.
Hope to see more pictures over the weekend.

Some of you guys are great photographers.
Lori T’s my favorite so far, I would do horrible things for those clocks. Unspeakable things.
JD Log is that a window with that wacky shape? Not sure what I’m looking at there but I love it.
Also diggin’ the amoeba shaped mirror someone posted, thiriftysomebody I think.
I contributed what I’ve got but my pics are super blurry, sorry.

Agree, love Lori T’s place, I want to drink dry martini’s in her living room.
Lori Tevis says
Thanks so much for the great compliments. I really appreciate it. Martinis will be served shortly…stop on in. Have a great MCM day! Lori T.

Hi Jonny it is a cantilever roof house with the window in the shape of an half elongated triangle, which matches the angle of the roof. It is a 3 piece etched glass of a family of deer running up a mountain. The 2nd photo on the door shows the same family of deer resting on the mountain.
I find it is hard to take photos of etched glass , but it was one of the features which sold me on the place. The original owner was a master carpenter who built it for his family in 1959
Jonny says
That’s wild, I’ve never seen anything like it. Thanks for the reply.

I want to see the Beharka house, please! Feature, ladies? Not sure if it’s the sepia tones of the photos, or just the glow of the woods, but that house has IT!
Kevin Wagner says
Thanks, I’m delighted you like my home. It’s very special to me, as Mr. Beharka was my friend and mentor. He began his apprenticeship with Frank Lloyd Wright in 1954. This was the home he designed and built for him and his family. He passed away 6 years ago at 84 years old..We have been here 5 years, and call it The Little Jewel Box.
mimi says
It is a jewel, and so fortunate that you are keeping it pristine and true to its roots. Mr. Beharka appears to be more than just an apprentice; I see some uniqueness apart from the loveliness of Wright. Hope, hope, HOPE to see more. Lucky you!

I’ve asked Kate to reach out to Kevin on Monday!
mimi says
Thank you, Pam! I’m anxious to see this beauty.
Kevin Wagner says
Thanks so much! I added another photo.
Kevin.

I finally found the added photo. Over the top, mouth-dropping beauty. The flying panels over the living area, so bold, so soft; is that a loft space? Every time i look, there’s more to see.
