Georges Briard tiles — New Old Stock — now listed for sale online

Georges-Briard-tilesRemember that ginormous stash of New Old Stock Georges Briard metal enameled tiles that we featured a while ago? Owner Mark now has a website to list them all for sale. Thanks to Mark, who wrote me yesterday:

We have about 25 patterns on there currently and will be uploading the rest over the next two-to-four weeks or so. They are mostly organized and ready to go, we just need to get them all in digital format … Check them out for purchase on http://urbnuprising.com

What would the one “TOAP” be? Is it priced higher because it’s bigger or the finish is different?
I can see what’s available now in a kitchen backsplash or instead of a tiki bar, your rumpus room bar backsplash or set in the bar surface. Even if you couldn’t afford a large quantity, the colors look like the tiles could be placed randomly with plain ones available in the big box stores.

I am guessing it’s a misspelling of “taupe” — a word folks may know from hearing but likely have never had to spell!

I think random placement would be a great idea. However, my fear would be that the decorative tile would be a different thickness than the surrounding field tiles.

I was out of the country when the original story ran, and missed it. I LOVE Briard! Thanks for this update–I would have missed the opportunity!
