Readers, I love to hear from you. These days I am getting a lot a lot of email so please check out these tips first:
- Are you trying to find new or replacement products suitable for your midcentury home? This is the #1 goal of this site, and we have comprehensive navigation to help you find what you are looking for: Please go through the Categories near the top, in blue, they are very comprehensive… the FAQs … and/or Search box — it works pretty darn well. Note: We do not personally sell anything here — refer to individual stories for manufacturers/retailers listed there and if you want to buy, contact THEM. Due to volume I cannot return emails to folks saying “I want to order [fill in the blank]” — again, I don’t sell anything. If you’ve checked out the site and can’t find what you need, see the third bullet, below.
- Are you buying or selling vintage stuff? We host a Forum to buy/sell steel kitchen cabinets. This post has info on buying/selling kitchen cabinets. Here’s info on pricing steel cabinets. There are numerous stories on where to buy or sell vintage fixtures in the FAQ and in the relevant Categories. Due to volume, I am unable to reply to requests about how to sell, price, or value other items, or to emails asking me to connect you with someone who has posted previously on the blog. Also, no buying/selling on the main blog, otherwise it would get way out of control — I will delete these without notice — please put your buy/sell queries on the Forum.
- Do you have a question you cannot find the answer to on the blog, or do you have a tip to share? (1) If your question is relatively straightforward — add it as a Comment to any appropriate story and subscribe to the comment thread to get the response. I read every comment, and you are most likely to get a fast answer there. If it’s something more specific, (2) Use the form below to contact me. If you want to submit photos, let me know in your message, and I will provide an email address where you can send them to me. Reality check: The number of emails I now get is out of control; I cannot commit to a quick response — this is why using Comments is probably your best bet for a fast response if what you have is a question about a product or issue. If you have a great story to share – photos of your projects, etc. — use the form below, for sure, to connect!
Thank you for your understanding as we work hard to juggle all the demands of a vibrant, growing, wonderful community and to give visibility to all the resources, ideas and inspiration increasingly available to all of us Retro Renovators!
