s.kelly	I bought these in early 2010? I think, could have been 09. Paid 300 for all of the cabinets including the counter tops. I had to resize the tops and a friend bent up some new trim where I needed it. The sink 1941,but cannot remember mfg was also 300 and came with the woden cabinet it is on. It was bigger as well,I cut it down to fit our kitchen. Cabinets have been painted once or twice, but are serviceable. We will powder coat one day. The sink needed refinishing. I did it with a 2 part epoxy that was a massive fail. Definately peeling badly less than one year after going in. So it will get recoated one day too. counter and stove.jpg counter and sink.jpg

50s_Pam	adorable kitchen! i have yet to hear of recoating, even professional, that folks have been happy with. you might be better off stalking your local craigslist and salvage shops for a replacement in the right size and in perfect shape. i bet it would be cheaper and more satisfactory in the long term — and you have the time to wait it out.

s.kelly	Thanks for the compliment and thanks for the info. I had thought I’d send the sink out for powder coating, but I guess I need to rethink that. I imagine if anyone knows the consensus on recoating sinks it would be you! Strange that the first coatings were so long lasting, but no one can recreate it, wonder why.

Listing & Communicating — READ THIS

When listing cabinets for sale, please link to photos of your cabinets for sale. This will enable prospective buyers to get a better idea of what you have, and save everyone a lot of time and back and forth emails. The Forum does not have the capacity to upload and host your photos. You can upload photos on picture sharing services like picasaweb, flickr, shutterfly, use.com, etc. -- then put the LINK to their location in your listing. If you are also listing on Craigslist (highly recommended), having the photos hosted there is fine, gets the job done! Please note, I will delete any listings that do not include photos immediately and without notice -- I REALLY WILL, and DO.. Sorry for the tough love, but I gotta do this in order to keep the Forum in order and to manage my time.
This Forum does not have private messaging capability. Perhaps the most elegant solution is to request SELLERS be sure to provide some way to reach them. One way to do this, Sellers, if you don't want to show your email address, is to also have a craigslist listing; craigslist "shields" your personal email in the way they are set up.
