Cara	I just purchased a set of mauve Geneva cabinets and I am debating painting them. I havent seen them in person yet. The pictures make them look decent. Typically I favor leaving vintage untouched but this is a major focal point in the house. Can someone weigh the pros/cons? I have more pics. Thanks!

Jacki Carroll	Cara, I LOVE that color! Perhaps tone it down with a nice brown accent color and some cute eBay curtains? Maybe find a vintage wallpaper with just a small amount of that mauve to draw your eye to another color. It would be such a shame to cover that up. Maybe I am just a pink addict (just spent months finding my pink stove and ovens), but you could really run with that color and have such a darling kitchen.

Cara	Thanks Gals! I have sent my photos to Pam. Jacki, thanks so much for your suggestions. I can work with the color. The condition of the paint will assist with my decision. Can’t wait to chat more about this!

Listing & Communicating — READ THIS

When listing cabinets for sale, please link to photos of your cabinets for sale. This will enable prospective buyers to get a better idea of what you have, and save everyone a lot of time and back and forth emails. The Forum does not have the capacity to upload and host your photos. You can upload photos on picture sharing services like picasaweb, flickr, shutterfly, use.com, etc. -- then put the LINK to their location in your listing. If you are also listing on Craigslist (highly recommended), having the photos hosted there is fine, gets the job done! Please note, I will delete any listings that do not include photos immediately and without notice -- I REALLY WILL, and DO.. Sorry for the tough love, but I gotta do this in order to keep the Forum in order and to manage my time.
This Forum does not have private messaging capability. Perhaps the most elegant solution is to request SELLERS be sure to provide some way to reach them. One way to do this, Sellers, if you don't want to show your email address, is to also have a craigslist listing; craigslist "shields" your personal email in the way they are set up.
