I'm looking to 'save' part of my pink bathroom that desperately needs some TLC--help, please! I plan to keep my pink tub--it's a cast tub and the glazing is in excellent condition. (In fact, it looks almost identical--maybe it is--to the tub on the 'save the pink' bathrooms link above. The problem is I need to replace my toilet, but want it to match as closely as possible. Does anyone have any ideas on how I should go about this? It's not easy to find toilets outside the white/off-white color palette. Thanks!

We just bought a 1940 Tudor house and I am so happy that the previous owners didn't update anything, except the kitchen, which we want to redo. We were told the master bathroom and kitchen were added on to the house later (I assume 1950 because the toilet lid is dated 1950. My sink is a Standard stand alone and the faucet is built into the porcelain, instead of metal. Has anyone seen this before? I can't find anything like it on the web. After searching your site I finally realized the tiles are unglazed porcelain ceramic. That explains why they feel gritty. I will need to replace some broken tiles. I love your website, I can't get enough of it. Thanks.

Dear Pam (and all that read this great site):

I'm having trouble finding replacement light diffusers for a retro lawson lighted medicine cabinet. Unfortunately, the cabinet doesn't have the light covers and what few lawson cabinets I have seen are not even close to this one's style. It's a very large cabinet, and the bulbs are t12 flouresents that are 2ft long, but the covers were probably rectangular in shape and extended 4 inches above and below (we think). Maybe they had caps, we just don't know. I'm winging it on design and working with a plastic fabricator. Any infomation you know on lawson cabinets would be great. I really need some diffusers for this cabinet. Thank you, Debbie

Hi Jennifer, this one is not ringing a bell...Sorry. The only thing I can recommend for you to do is search keywords like 'aqua'.

Hi there,
I recall finding on your site awhile back a man who re-did his bathroom in black & white mid century tiles but he include some aqua tiles too. I cannot locate the pix from that listing. Do you still have? And if so, would you provide the link to me? I need to use as inspiration to someone who owns an MCM house.
Thanks
