The house they were going to re-do was from the 1880s. But in a couple of rooms, hanging from the plaster decor on the ceiling, were lights from mid-century. They really looked so out of place, but since they didn't fit with anything the This Old House crew was doing, they ignored them, and suddenly they were gone from the renovation. One was just a square glass cover, but the other was a hanging pull-down with a wide cone-like shade. How sad! Wonder what landfill they went into?
