I’m now in the market for a new pair or two, so I went trowling for what I could find with retro style. In virtually no time at all I found these Shuron frames available. This “Nusir Royale” design sounds like it’s been around for decades…it is available in a number of colors… I love the decoration… the company has been around nearly 150 years… the glasses are made in the U.S.A…. and I can order the whole eyeglass package from them online start-to-finish – further enabling my quest to never ever have to leave my computer cave again. Stay tuned, I am going to order a pair for sure and will let you know how it turns out. There are numerous other styles available, too, click here for the link.
When I updated my bathrooms, I added a light/fan combination above each tub. It’s really nice to have light directly in that area, and the fan works just fine from that location as the bathrooms are quite small. Two tips: (1) Be sure to wire the fan and light separately – I am presuming this model makes that available. And (2) put them into separate (side by side) boxes so that you can add a timer to the fan. You can use this light in other parts of the house, but I do not believe that its exhaust-power is enough for a stove. For that, you need to get the more high-powered, “utility fan”. On that front – note that I am told that Nutone no longer makes the metal cover. Ugh. Try R&I Distributing to see if they still have any in stock. Or, you’re going to have to spray paint the plastic. Finally, note, I am on the scent of another source of an authentic vintage exhaust fan that might prove terrific – stay tuned.

Do you need a new faucet for your vintage bathroom sink? TodayI happily add a third alternative to my short list of recommendations. It’s this simple Gerber 4″ lav. Nice lines, nice faucet handles. Also a nice one here with fluted handles. Hurray.

Update: Nathan went looking for this and Gerber eliminated the image from their catalog. However, it IS still available. Here is what Nathan reports – MANY THANKS, Nathan!

Hey Pam,

I was able to track down that particular faucet that you had on your site. I contacted Gerber, and they gave me the part number. I then tried to find it locally here in Abq, but that was a dead end. So, I then resorted to shopping on the internets (d’oh), and found it here: [link now gone - search for model number online, folks - Pam]

I ordered 3 of them

Thanks again, and I’ve bookmarked your site

Hasta,

Nathan

Other faucet choices:
