Here is a hot tip for anyone doing a major project: Rejuvenation also sells antique lighting, and I noticed on their website yesterday that they have a good-sized stash of circa-1960 lighting from Progress Manufacturing, unused and in its original boxes. And — there are multiples available. Note: Even though it’s unused MIB, Rejuvenation says they rewire this lighting – another good reminder for all of us to rewire anything we find and use vintage. Last but not least — 33 vintage copper-plated cabinet pulls with atomic backplates also are in their antique hardware section — a wonderful number — a gorgeous design — snap ’em up, someone!

Kathryn, you can post these over on the forum: https://retrorenovation.com/forum/ — there is a spot for “other stuff” as you scroll down. Good luck.

My aunt has 3 of those top center cone lights going down the long hall way of her apartment. The building is a mitchell lama tower built in the early 60s in the lower east side of Manhattan. I’ve always loved the shape of them and when the lamps are the only thing turned on in the dark apartment they cast spots of light on the ceiling that resembled stars to me as a child.

Oh I just LOVE that brass cone/bullet sconce!! Perfect. Wish I could buy them!
Yes, always rewire, or have someone rewire old lighting and stuff!!

Gorgeous fixtures, Pam! So glad you featured them. We are thinking about the 8″ cone for our living room!

Rejuvenation is a cool place. Though I haven’t been to the actual warehouse in over a year, we’ve purchased quite a bit of lighting, as well as light switches and plates from them.

Ooo, I like those cabinet pulls! They’re not quite what I have envisioned for finishing off my kitchen (I still have my heart set on the boomerang pulls at Rejuvenation), but I love the look of those backplates. So very atomic and ultra cool.
