Win a bullet planter from Hip Haven — (Entries now closed)

Hip Haven bullet planterENTRIES now closed. Update:  I spun the random and it chose I winner: Kimberly Ann. She replied to my email in a flash, and now she is all set to get her planter! Congratulations, Kimberly Ann, and thnkks for playing, everyone!

Shayne fixed the charset (don’t even ask) so now we can have giveaways again. Woot! So I reached out to Hip Haven — home of retro bullet planters — (and disclosure: a longtime advertiser on the blog although this is not part of “our deal”) — and sure enough, they happily contributed our first giveaway of 2014. Read on for how to enter to win.

Instructions to enter to win the Hip Haven bullet planter:

    • STEP #1: Add a comment below and in it: Tell us, where would you put your bullet planter and what would you plant in it? As always, this is fundamentally about spreading the love in any ole way you’re comfortable with. Please note: If you are a first-time commenter, I must “free” your comment from moderation. This may not happen quickly, especially if it’s the weekend. So hang tight, I’ll get to it…
    • STEP #2: You must be a subscriber to our weekly newsletter to win –> (Yes, I am using this as a way to try to keep you addicted to the blog. Please know, though, you can unsubscribe at any time.)
  • Winner gets a bullet planter — size of their choice — color of their choice — although Hip Haven says not all colors and sizes may be in stock at the moment, so you may have to wait a few weeks to get the one you want exactly.
  • All 50 states and Canada may enter to win. Sorry, rest of world, Customs is just so difficult.
  • Terms of Use apply to all participation on the blog — please read ’em.
  • One entry per person, please.
  • I’ll run this one for one full week. So, contest ends Friday morning, Feb. 14, 10 am ish Eastern.
  • I will choose a winner via the random.org random number generator… I will check the newsletter log to see that the winner is a bona-fide newsletter subscriber… if so, I will contact the winner (if not, I will move the next person in the comment stream)… they have one calendar week to respond… and if I don’t hear from them, I will move on to the next person in the comment stream. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Be sure to enter your email address correctly in the Comment form where it is requested.
  • I will post the first name of the winner at the top of this post as soon as they confirm.

Good luck, everyone!

Well, I think I would love to have the pale blue or green planter, for our dining room. I would love to have a ‘mother-in-law tongue’ in there!

  2. erin valdez says:

I love bullet planters and have wanted one for soooo long!!! I would put the turquoise one on my back porch and probably put some succulents in them!

  3. Gail says:

I’ve been wanting one (or two!) forever! Turquoise, definitely. Next to my front door, in the empty space that’s screaming for some planters. Filled with a tall umbrella plant.

  4. Jane says:

I adore these planters and have wanted one for a long time. It would have to be chartreuse, my favorite color and my asperagus fern clearly told me she would be right at home looking our the front window.

  5. MaryDK says:

Fun! Thank you for the chance to win such an awesome planter! I would love to have one for my kitchen, I would put some kind of palm that is safe for my cat.

  6. Gilda Slater says:

YAAY! I would love to win a PINK bullet planter! It would look AMAZING in between my turquoise mid century chair with ottoman and pink sofa!
I would plant a spikey palm or mother in law tongue.
    Thanx for the opportunity!

  7. Caitlin says:

Love the orange, aqua and grass cloth looking tan. Would fill it with succulents and park it in my entry way.

  8. Asher Siegal says:

As a professional plant worker AND a 1950s maven I can say that bullet planters are my faves. I would love to win one for my big Ming Aralia and put in the window in the living room. That would be awesome!

  9. Wendie says:

Oh my lord! I’ve bee looking for one of these for a few years. I would gladly display a chartreuse or orange (or any color for that matter) one on my front porch filled with multiple colored pansies in the summer then bring it to the living room for the winter and fill it with spider plants!

  10. Vintagefabricqueen says:

I would put it in the entry of my home- and plant a firestick succulent.
It would look beauteous cause this is something that looks great and I can’t kill! It would look so good!
Maybe I even buy a few more to match it!
