A dealer found this rare August Holland print — “A Power Within” — then found my story on Holland’s three tiki prints here — then left a comment asking if anyone was interested — then heck to the yeah, sold it to me.
I now own both “A Power Within” (aka “The Fire God”), above, …
… and the much more common “Pearl of Wisdom,” above. . Just one to go — I need “Drums of the Night” — and I will have the complete set for my Mahalo Lounge. Oh, dear Retro Decorating Gods, thank you for my Power, now… I trust you will send me Drums when you are ready!

Did you ever pickup Drums of the Night? I just picked one up and already have Pearl of Wisdom. Just need The Fire God!
Pam Kueber says
Nope — I continue searching but still have not found Drums of the Night! Lucky you! Where did you find it?

Way cool!

Congrats,
As these are works of art on paper they shouldn’t be exposed to light all the time. Be like a museum, and rotate your prints!
Carol says
Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for The Fire God?
Pam Kueber says
hmmmm, well, I think I’ll keep a lid on it
Lyndasewsalot says
Congratulations on your good luck! I rooting for you to find the 3rd. Good luck.

Great job! Now, if you come across another “A Power Within”, can I call dibs? It’s one of my holy grail’s of period pieces. I also sent a comment on the article you did on Moe lights but never got a response. I have one in red, orange and yellow, it’s a pull down lamp. I’m curious if the lamp is glass or not? Mines clear plastic. It’s a model numbered: M-2350-30.
Thanks,
Jimmy

I recall answering… but now that I see your question again, I don’t quite understand it.

Lucky you! What a nice addition to the lounge. I know you will find the third one.

You did it, you got it! Wonderful! I am so happy! Now the race is on for us to complete the trilogy! https://instagram.com/p/BUlGQJtjwRe/

Congratulations! I have no doubt the third one will come to you in its own time when you least expect it. Leave a placeholder on the wall where it will go; the sort of thing that works for now until the right thing comes along. I think you will need to place portrait lights over these prints so they are still visible when you dim the lights in the lounge.
