I was in Fort Lauderdale this past weekend for a tiki wedding at the Mai Kai — what fun! While there I made a new BFF, Kim, who is a connoisseur of vintage Witco. Hanging out at the Molokai bar, she mentioned her rare Witco hexagonal bar. It opens into halves, and she stores barware inside. Oh my. This is just about the most wonderful thing I have ever seen! Thanks, Kim, for sharing! See all my stories mentioning Witco here. Heck yeah there is more →
I dropped everything to drive two hours south, to pick up this gorgeous, pristine, amazing Witco tiki hula girl artwork at an estate sale, then drove two hours home. The piece is 60″ high and 30″ wide — a real statement piece for sure! I also got a small Witco stool that sat under it for many many years. Like, since 1980, at least. She will be a crowning jewel of my Mahalo Lounge! I am so psyched!
