Elvis aka Jane’s entry in our Found Objects Found Art contest:

    Pam,
Attached is my entry in the found objects contest. Strictly speaking, they’re not  ”found” as they were a fabulous housewarming gift to us. I think the best part about the Hi-Snack plates is the box: get a load of the kitschy drawing illustrating their use. Those fingers look like they’re made of rubber! Thanks so much for the daily fun you provide!

How interesting that things that go around come around! I saw something like this featured on the Steven & Chris show (see: http://www.cbc.ca/stevenandchris/index.html ) except they were made of white paper/plastic and nothing would stay on them! It was a great concept but just didn’t work! It was hilarious to watch the tv hosts try to show how they worked!

Yes, Maureen, I have seen a newer elliptical wood plate with a place to slide the stem of your wine glass into so it hangs off the plate. But these are just right for our 1956 ranch…. I only wish we had 20 more, so we could use them when we have parties!
