Here’s another source for liner tiles for a vintage-style bathroom remodel: Eight decorative designs by Mission Tile West. The designs shown above are all manufactured by the company, and can be ordered in custom colors. Some colors are in stock. Mission Tile West has 39 lovely Revival Classics colors to choose from, in both glossy and matte finishes. These are not necessarily authentic retro colors, but some looks close enough. And: Color. I’m not complaining!
The company also offers field tiles in all these colors as well. Their field tile options are not shown on the website — but they confirmed they do have 4x4s, subway tiles, etc.

We are in the process of getting quotes to repair the surround of our 1957 neuvogue receptor bath/shower in our guest bathroom. The gentleman could not guarantee salvaging the liner tiles. Thankfully, I remembered this post and found a local distributor of the Mission Tile West liners. Ours is exactly like the “bow tie” liner in your post. I obtained a quote of $12.35/tile (plus tax & UPS) and about 6 week lead time.
