Save The Pink Bathrooms – All This Week

pam kueber - Updated: August 17, 2021

Retro Renovation stopped publishing in 2021; these stories remain for historical information, as potential continued resources, and for archival purposes.

save the pink bathrooms websiteSAVE THE PINK BATHROOMS: My other little blog got its own retro renovation this summer, with new tile and wallpaper and content, too. This week we celebrate with a deep dive into this iconic mid-century color and why it’s really okay, America, to save your vintage pink bathrooms. Do you want help? (1) Click here to make a comment and “take the pledge” today. And (2) spread the word. Thanks!

I have 2 tractor trailers of American made in the 1950s and 1960 bathroom tile located in southern WV/southwest VA. I have accessory tile (bullnose, quarter round, cove, etc.) + fixtures (soap dishes, towel bars, toilet paper holders) to match almost every color + wall tile of almost every color. Please see WatersWV on ebay for listings in pink. Never used tile in pristine condition. These are NOT reproduction tiles.

I love this blog! And the Flickr pix too.
I grew up in a 1935 Art Deco house in Hinsdale, Illinois (now long demolished of course, for a tacky structure) and I was lucky enough to have multiple ‘all-color’ bathrooms.
A pink one, a blue one, a sea-foam green one, and even a black one, complete with black tub and toilet. I wish I had pictures 🙁

It’s been a fun week of pink bathrooms. So many different tile combinations and decorating styles. It shows that everyone can find a way to live with and love their pink bathrooms.

I Just posted about my pink bathroom on my blog. I’m going to re-pink it to the best of my ability 🙂 Any advice would be very welcome!
