I have discovered wonderful pink tile in my 1957 ranch; however, the previous owner painted it black!!!!! How do I safely remove the black paint from the wonderful pink tile. Also, the previous owner faux painted the knotty pine paneling! Why does someone buy a 1950’s ranch and try to make it into another era?????

I need some advice! I am remodeling my pink and black (1950’s) bathroom. I can’t decide to whether I should put a black counter top on a white vanity or a pink, black, and white marbled counter top.

I live in a 1950 house and I just found out that under the paint is pink and black tile in my bathroom.

Hi, help!!! My husband fell in the shower and broke the glass of our 50’s shower door. Where can I find another one? BTW, I have a pink bathroom.

Hi Michelle, Gosh, I hope your husband is okay! One of the things I remind readers about, is that the glass in old shower doors may not be “safety glass” — so that’s something to be aware of. In answer to your question, ummm, I’d go to a store that specializes in … shower doors. I think they should be able to get you something that fits…. Alternatively, watch craigslist, I think… but again, be aware of the safety glass issue.
