So know that we’ve given you a complete history of Vera Neumann, what’s new out there in the stores this summer? The big news seems to be the Vintage Vera “Farmer’s Market” collection at Crate & Barrel [no longer available]. You know I love the rich cobalt blue — my 2012 Retro Renovation Color of the Year. The orange, chartreuse and grass green — all lovely, as well. There are more pieces to the collection. A great hostess gift or quick, pretty-cheap-and-cheerful kitchen pick-me-up.

Another resource is Tuesday Mornings if you have one nearby. The website doesn’t reflect its true nature. Hit or miss but I collect vintage linens (esp. Vera Neumann) and found lovely Vera repros of placemats, aprons, hand towels, oven mitts and more at different visits. After its flyer arrived in email I even waited at the door for it to open and bought a Hannspree Cubs TV and another time a Little Giant ladder.
